Power Pro Super 8 Slick V2 Hi-Vis Blue 300 Yards Freshwater

PowerPro Super 8 Slick V2 braided spectra line is smooth as silk.  It features 8 yarn Spectra fiber construction braided under high tension to create a live surface that feels smooth and silky. It casts like a bullet due to the reduced line friction on the spool and through the rod guides allowing Super-Slick to cast like a further than other braided lines. It’s also silent with its smooth surface designed to reduce friction and line noise, allowing you to fish with stealth and silence. A perfect filler spool that should be kept handy at all times, fills many casting and spinning reels to the perfect height.

We like this second version of Power Pro Super Slick 8 due to its performance on spinning reels.  Previous versions of this line tended to get wind knots and tangles after fishing over time.  This new V2 version is great on both spinning and casting reels.  It has superior line strength to diameter and the colorant won’t fade quickly. 

As with all braided lines, make sure you put electrical tape or the like to keep the line from turning on the spool.  When making connection knots to leaders, do a few more wraps than you normally would, the slick line needs more wraps to grab the leader.  We recommend the RP knot with 9 wraps up and 9 back.
