Owner Hyper Wire Split Ring Freshwater

The Owner Hyper Split Rings are a standard in the industry with many tackle manufacturers using them on their lures.  We like them because they are strong and come in many sizes to fit the right lure.  

 The size of the wire and the strength are ideal for small fish like trout and larger fish such as tuna.  They are easy enough to open with split ring pliers but make sure you have the right plier for your size split ring.  

They can also be added to the tie point on the lure to give it extra action.  We like to make sure the knot doesn’t end up where the split in the ring is, at the right angle it could cut your line.  Tie your knot so that the split part is 45 degrees one way or the other from your tie point.  

Organizing your split rings in the right box is very important.  Find a box that has a tight seal and won’t let the rings go under the dividers in the box.  It’s good to have several sizes so if you bend one out on a fish, you have the same size to replace the bent one with.  Having Owner Hyper Split Rings handy will make sure your fishing day is successful.
